Bladder stones are a very commonly condition in cavies, specially domesticated ones. These stones will form in the cavy's bladder in varying size and are secondary to infection, dietary influences, and genetics. Some of the symptoms are bloody urine (sometimes there's no signs), painful urination or straining to urinate are common signs of this condition. Treatment is based in medications and in reraly cases surgery. Here are some pictures of the different types of bladder stones in animals:
