CORONET

The coronet is like a cross between a sheltie and a crested in that it has long straight hair but has a crest on the forehead.

Here are some more Coronet pics - hope it's ok to post them here, so there are more examples :D

My baby girl, and most spoiled rotten piggy ever - Cleopatra, BIS winner/Grand Champion

Their coat grows about an inch a month... !

My most recent Coronet baby (he's big now, though!)

My second most spoiled rotten piggeh, O'Henry

Seeing as I raise and show this breed, there is more info on them here - http://www.storybookcavies.com/coronets.htm

Cleopatra, Miss Muffet, Vanessa, Desmond, and Chloe

:D

And this is my first post with photos... so I guess I'll see if it worked out or not tongue

OMG!! what a beautiful hair, sure it is ok to post the pictures here your're showing your cavies breeds. I love their hair. I have a long haired piggy, but their previous owners used to cut his hair so I'm waiting for it to grow Smile

They are so beautiful. You must love showing them, so others can see your beautiful piggies.

Thank you! They are a lot of fun, but they are a LOT of work, especially to groom (this sounds funny, but it takes about 45 minutes to completely blow-dry one after a bath, and if you don't blow-dry them, they don't get dry!). The ones I don't show I keep clipped, it prevents hassle for the both of us Wink That is, for the ones who don't already chew their own coats... I've had a few naughties do that recently, and it completely ruins their coat. They have everything they need, so it's just a naughty habit they have.

Dawn, your piggy is very pretty. I don't think I've ever seen one that color before (except in the example photo) - is he/she a cream or a cream roan?
